I'm a huge fan of Historical Fiction. I think, sucker for historical fiction, may be a better way of describing my relationship with anything that is history related.
Given that, you should know it was great surprise to me, that this series was produced and made for my television.. and I had no knowledge of it's existence.
This series was produced by CBC (Canada) and ABC (America). Since it's about ancient times, there are loads of references to sex and what not, but I'm assuming since this was produced by Public Broadcasting stations, it's all pretty much PG13 rated.. non of that Rome/HBO stuff. Though, you can't help but notice the title cards and the soundtracks, are very similar.....
*this is the promo poster that i could find... though, i feel it's got nothing to do with the actual series... first of all, it's not 4 hours.. it's two 1.5 hrs parts..so, it's only 3 hrs.. no idea where the extra hour came from.. unless it's including the originally aired commercials*

ReplyDeleteI think I've seen Ben Hur, it's a great movie. But this is a different one from what I've seen I guess, since it's a mini series. I'll def check it out :)
